Description: 

The Head Start program's primary mission is to provide comprehensive early childhood services for eligible children.  All children are provided a safe, nurturing environment in which they are given the opportunity to learn and experience success, with additional services provided to children with special needs.  The program ensures that the children are provided with medical and dental examinations and nutritious meals.  Head Start offers a variety of program options from part-day classrooms to full-day, full year classrooms. Specific programs include Early Head Start which offers a home-based option for very young children.

Membership: 

• Open to boys and girls from 6-18 years of age.
• Members must be at least 6 years old to attend.
• To register a 6-year-old member, parent and/or guardian must show certificate stating date of birth
• Annual membership fee is $15 per youth
• To enroll your youth, membership applications can be found at our Club site. You can also contact our Unit Director or message us on our Facebook page, Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club- Ohio County Unit
• Membership information and annual fee must be completed and paid for at time of registration at this site.

Description: DCBS services are administered through nine service regions and offices serving all 120 Kentucky counties. In addition, DCBS uses a network of contract officials to deliver services, such as child care. Service is enhanced through a close relationship and coordination with community partners.
