Generally, Orthopedic providers see patients with sprains, strains, fractures, tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis or anyone with a traumatic injury that involves your bones and joints. These practitioners are specially trained in taking care of bones and joints and are medically qualified to provide both non-surgical and surgical treatments.
Our team uses some of the latest diagnostic tools available such as digital X-ray, MRI and bone density scans to help them diagnose and treat their patients.
Separate from our Orthopedic Department we also have a comprehensive Sports Medicine Department. These practitioners have been specially trained in providing care to athletes. Their main goal is to assess acute injuries and help you recover and get back to competing. We partner with Ohio County Schools to make sure all of our young athletes are given both professional and quality care.
Many times because of the nature of sports injuries our Sports Medicine professionals work very closely with the Orthopedic Surgeons in order to provide patients with comprehensive care.
Some of these conditions need surgical repair, but many of them can be treated non-surgically with an individualized plan of care.
