The managing partners of Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat Head & Neck Surgery P.S.C. – Thomas Logan, MD and Matthew Taylor, MD - are pleased to announce the merger of their otolaryngology practice into the Ohio County Healthcare (OCH) system.
Under the agreement, Midwest will re-brand as Midwest Ear, Nose, & Throat, a service of Ohio County Healthcare. Midwest will continue to provide the same competent and trusted treatment for a wide range of Ear, Nose and Throat services.

Where will I go for my medical care?
Outpatient Appointments:
Midwest ENT providers (Dr. Logan, Dr. Taylor, and Ms. Theresa Rhineburger, APRN) will continue to practice at the Owensboro location, 2841 New Hartford Road. Patients will recognize many of the dedicated employees and will also see some new faces. All currently scheduled office appointments will remain the same.
Emergency Care:
The physicians of Midwest ENT will no longer be participating in call coverage services through Owensboro Health Emergency room. Dr. Logan and Dr. Taylor will be sharing emergency call coverage at Ohio County Healthcare with John Ruth, MD.
Surgical Services:
Dr. Logan and Dr. Taylor will continue to provide surgical services at Riverview Surgery Center and have added surgical services at Ohio County Healthcare’s new state-of-the-art surgical unit that opens in Summer, 2023.

OCH will open a new 27,000 square surgical wing in summer of 2023 which will include a da Vinci Xi robotic surgical platform. For enhanced convenience, patients will register on-site in the surgical unit which also includes a waiting area for families and direct access parking.

Your patients will continue to enjoy the convenience of on-site registration, ease of access parking, and a top-notch surgical team to provide safe, high-quality care.
Audiology:
Both Alissa Gable, AuD and William Speer, AuD will continue to provide audiology services at the Owensboro office. These services include Hearing Loss (testing, treatment, protection methods, and tinnitus assessment) and Hearing Aids (styles & selections, fitting & counseling, accessories, and service/repair).
Balance:
The Midwest Provides will continue to provide treatment for balance disorders including Dizziness, Vertigo, BPPV, and Balance & Vestibular testing. Patients will still have access to the FYZICAL Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic specializing in Vestibular Rehabilitation and Balance Therapy located at 2811 New Hartford Road, Suite C.
How long will I wait for an appointment?
Approximately 18 months ago, Midwest ENT went from 5 providers to 3 providers. This has created additional wait times for office visits and surgical services. With the addition of the Ohio County Specialty Care ENT team consisting of John Ruth, MD, Paul Tennant, MD, and Rowgena Cain, APRN and the recruitment of new providers to our community, this will open more appointments for patients to be seen in both Owensboro and Hartford.
