Ohio County Healthcare is pleased to announce the receipt of a generous $20,000 grant from the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the charitable giving partner of Perdue Farms. This substantial contribution was dedicated to the Wheelchair Replacement Project, specifically to acquire Stryker Prime Transport Chairs.
Perdue Foundation support enables Ohio County Healthcare to purchase 20 Stryker Prime Transport Chairs, enhancing care for its patients, many of whom are Perdue associates and their families. These innovative and versatile wheelchairs feature numerous safety enhancements, but most importantly, they provide superior comfort during patient transport. This aligns with Ohio County Healthcare’s commitment to delivering outstanding care and improving the overall patient experience, as recognized by their recent 5-Star Patient Experience Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
“The Ohio County Healthcare team extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Perdue Foundation for its commitment to supporting healthcare initiatives that directly impact the well-being of our community members. This generous gift is another demonstration of the long-standing successful partnership between Ohio County Healthcare and Perdue to care for and strengthen Ohio County,” said Shellie Shouse, CEO, at Ohio County Healthcare. “Perdue has a rich tradition of investing in the well-being of rural communities, and this gift continues that legacy.”
Perdue’s investment in the community has had a profound impact, and Ohio County Healthcare is grateful for their continued support. They look forward to sharing the positive outcomes of this generosity with them and our community.
“At Perdue, we are proud to support Ohio County Healthcare and help them improve the patient experience,” said Kim Nechay, executive director of the Perdue Foundation. “Ohio County Healthcare is such a blessing to the community where our associates live and work.”
