Michael Campbell, General Surgeon, Elizabeth Ottman, Gynecologic Surgeon, Mark McGinnis, Orthopedic Surgeon, and Mikel Tihista, Orthopedic Surgeon have been recognized as Master Surgeons by Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).
Status as an SRC-accredited Master Surgeon is a distinction awarded to physicians who demonstrate clinical excellence, innovation, and the delivery of high-quality surgical outcomes.
These designations come as a part of the rigorous accreditation process OCH underwent to become accredited as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery by SRC. For patients, these designations offer added peace of mind that their care meets some of the highest standards in health care, with a focus on safety, consistency and outcomes.
Master Surgeon – Robotic Surgery
Drs. Michael Campbell, General Surgeon, and Dr. Elizabeth Ottman, Gynecologic Surgeon have more than 45 years of surgical experience combined. Both were instrumental in establishing and expanding OCH's robotic surgery program, serving as champions for both the implementation of robotics technology and the development of OCH’s new surgery unit. Through this they have played an important role in bringing advanced treatment options closer to home for patients who might otherwise need to travel for care.
Master Surgeon – Orthopedic Surgery
Dr. Mark McGinnis and Dr. Mikel Tihista, Orthopedic Surgeons, have played a key role in the growth and success of OCH's orthopedic program, expanding access to high-quality orthopedic care close to home. Dr. McGinnis has been instrumental in building patient trust and strengthening our orthopedic service line, while Dr. Tihista has brought valuable experience from his time in the military and has allowed OCH to expand access to orthopedic services to the communities we serve.
