Urology Care at Ohio County Healthcare

Urinary and urologic concerns can feel personal or difficult to talk about, but your need for care is important. At the OCH Urology Clinic, patients will receive urology services in a compassionate, confidential, safe, and patient centered environment.

Beginning February 2026, our urology program is returning with expanded access to care through a combination of in-clinic services and specialized urology collaboration.

Our Care Team and Approach

Patients are seen in clinic by a full-time urology provider, with additional support through a partnership with VirtuCare, a tele-urology consultative service.

Amy Shelton, APRN, is an Ohio County Healthcare–employed, dedicated nurse practitioner with more than 22 years of nursing experience and over 8 years of experience in urology care. She performs urologic physical exams, evaluations, diagnostic testing, diagnoses, and develops individualized treatment plans for patients.

When advanced expertise or collaboration is needed, Amy works closely with VirtuCare urologists through telehealth consultation to ensure patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.

VirtuCare urologists also will provide on-site surgical services as needed at the Ohio County Healthcare Surgical Unit in Hartford, allowing patients to receive high-quality surgical care close to home.
