Shift: Primarily Days with some weekends, holidays, and call

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma, prefer associates
• Experience: Certification by CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or IAHCSMM as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician
• Additional requirements: BLS required upon 6 months of employment

Job Description:

• Collecting of used and contaminated equipment or instruments/ supplies.

• Sorting of the collected equipment and supplies and initiating decontamination.

• Cleaning the supplies manually.

• Maintaining the cleaned components by packing them for sterilization.

• Maintaining the inventory.

• Monitoring the conditions and examining the instruments.

• Organizing, wrapping, and preparing the instruments for reuse for medical procedures.

• Controlling the inventory records, reordering instruments whenever necessary, and checking expiration dates.
