Shift: 7a-7p Monday-Friday every other week.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associates in Nursing. Currently licensed by KBN as an RN.
• Experience: Preferred 1 year, but not required.

Job Description:

• Responsible for assessing and diagnosing nursing care needs for all patients on admission; for establishing the nursing outcomes for the admission, then prescribing, delegating, and supervising nursing care; for teaching each patient and evaluating each patients response to nursing care and progress towards outcomes and collaborating with physicians and other clinical disciplines providing patient care to modify the plan of care as needed.
• The Med. Surg. staff nurse must possess effective problem solving techniques, use effective communications and demonstrate leadership and decision making abilities and critical thinking skills.
• BLS/ACLS required
