Experience: 2 years preferred

Qualifications:

  • A.R.R.T., (R) registered and Kentucky State certified.

  • Prefer A.R.R.T., (M) registered specifically in mammography or actively pursuing. Maintain 15 continuing education points every 3 years specifically in mammography.

  • CPR certification.

  • Completed at least 40 hours of documented training specific to mammography under the direction of a qualified instructor.

  • Knowledge of and willing to perform the following specific quality control duties in order to meet FDA requirements:

    Complete 8 hours of new modality training and direct instruction before performing exams.

Job Description:

  • The Mammography Technologists are to perform quality mammograms under the direction of the Radiologist, Director of Radiology, Supervising Mammography Radiologist, Supervising Mammography Technologist, will adhere to the American College of Radiology specifications and guidelines as required by the Food and Drug Administration.
  • Must be able to lift patients, push equipment, and work under stress, make independent judgments, and deal professionally with others.
  • They are responsible for assuring that services are provided in a manner that is consistent with the Ohio County Hospital policies and procedures and the purpose, vision and values.
