The High Acuity Unit at Ohio County Healthcare is a 3 bed critical care unit.

Attending Nurses in the High Acuity Unit are specially trained in the care of critically ill patients and treat conditions such as heart attacks, strokes or major surgeries.

Patients who are admitted to the High Acuity Unit require intensive nursing care and monitoring. The nurses are in constant attendance with the patients, caring for the patients’ needs in an individualized manner.
